Close by the inn there is golf, tennis, boating, biking, jogging and strolling all within the York Harbor Neighborhood. Fine restaurants are within walking distance as are several shops and galleries. Excursion boats for lobstering and deep sea fishing are available in York Harbor and arrangements can be made to pick you up at the Harborside Inn dock.

Jefferds' Tavern Visitor Center	York has many historic homes, buildings and landmarks that are open to the public. Sites include the Old Gaol (jail), John Hancock Warehouse & Wharf, Old School House, Emerson-Wilcox House, George Marshall Store Gallery and the Jefferds' Tavern Visitor Center.

Just a short drive from the Inn you'll find great shopping at the Maine Factory Outlet Stores in Kittery and L.L. Bean in Freeport. In historic downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, you can tour Strawbery Banke and the Portsmouth Marine Museum or browse among the many shops and cafes. Great antiquing abounds along Route One to Kennebunkport, the summer residence of President George Bush.
